This course is affiliated to Shivaji University , Kolhapur.  Applications are invited for the Academic year 2008-09. Last date of application for admission is 20th August 2008.

This course is started First Time in the Shivaji University area after Mumbai University.

Eligibility :  HSC (Science : Biology + Maths Compulsory)  with 50% min. Marks. ( 45% for Reserved Category students)

ALUMNI MEET

DEPARTMENT  OF  MICROBIOLOGY

As a part of Silver Jubilee Celebrations of Department of Microbiology, an Alumni Meet was organised on Saturday, 29th December, 2007 in the College. About 100 past students from India and abroad, students of the Department, teaching and non-teaching staff attended the Meet.   The Meet was inaugurated at the hands of Hon. Kishore Pandit, Council Member - DES and Chairman of Local Managing Committee. Prin. Dr. H.S.Nirmale was presided over the function as a Chief Guest. Dr. S.V.Supanekar, Head of the Department welcomed the participants. Mrs. S.M.Wadmare gve vote of thanks. Mrs. A.A.Tikekar anchored the function. Dr.S.N.Kanetkar, Ex-Head of the Department was also present.   In this function Alumni's batchwise Group Photo sessions were held. Alumni recalled the golden collegian days, enjoyed journey down the memory lane, performed entertainment programme. While departing, the atmosphere became emotional while departing. The event was grand success.

GRAND SUCCESS IN THE MHT-CET-2007 -

Mr. Chinmay Sunil Joglekar, stood 5th in Pharmacy Group and 6th in General Group in Maharashra State.

College has maintained its tradition of academic success in the University Examinations held in the month of March/April, 2007 -

  • MISS CHETANA MAGDUM stood First  in Shivaji University B.Sc. Degree Course examination held in the month of March/April, 2007. 

 

  • B.Sc. Degree - 83.63 % students passed, out of which 23 students are passed with First Class Distinction and 64 students in First class.

  • B.A. Degree - 78.36 % students passed, out of which 2 students are passed in First Class Distinction and 13 students passed in First Class.

 

Grants from U.G.C.

 

U.G.C. has approved the allocation of Rs. 1 Crore for construction of Women's Hostel (special scheme) - Xth Plan vide its letter No. F.26-316/07 (WRO) dt. 12.4.2007.

Ministry of Environment and Forests, Govt. of India has sanctioned Financial Assistance for improvement of facilities in the Botanical Garden to the tune      of 7,90,000/- vide its letter F. No. 10/78/05-CS/BG dt. 31.1.2007.
